THE HALL THAT HAS IT ALL

    Welcome to snpjlodge6.com, the official website of SNPJ Lodge #6 nestled in Sygan, Pennsylvania. Established in April 1904, our lodge has a rich history that reflects our commitment to community and heritage.

In our early years, meetings were held in various officers' homes, with a humble membership of 19. In 1911, fueled by ambition, we purchased lots on Hook St. and Third Ave., marking the beginning of our present location. Construction commenced that same year, culminating in the dedication ceremonies on July 4, 1911.

In 1939, we ventured into the realm of leisure by installing four bowling alleys, a decision that proved successful as we expanded to eight alleys by 1956. The evolution continued in 1968 when we transitioned to automatic ten-pin machines, and in 1970, recognizing the need for rejuvenation, we refurbished our dance hall to provide a more comfortable space for meetings and social gatherings.

Our resilience was tested on April 8, 1982, when a devastating fire ravaged our club, sparing only the bowling alleys and equipment. Through the support of SNPJ Headquarters, generous donations from members, and the aid of friends, we rebuilt. The bowling alleys reopened in October 1982, followed by the restoration of the Club room in spring 1984 and the inauguration of the upstairs hall (Sunshine Room) in September 1985, resulting in a larger and more vibrant facility.

Today, our membership stands strong, with 1,852 beneficial members and over 300 social members. Lodge 6 is number 1 in new memberships for 2023 and continuing to grow with over $21 million in life insurance coverage.

With the unwavering dedication of our members, we look forward to serving our community for another century.
